The P08 folding chair first appeared in 1991 as a result of collaboration between the Centro Progetti Tecno and German designer Justus Kolberg.
The aim of the project was to create a new, folding chair for conference rooms. The results was an easy to assemble seating system with a particularly slender, essential form.
The structure consists of satin finished stainless steel plates. The seat and backrest are in black painted polyamide (nylon). Conference room seating can be laid out quickly and easily thanks to the system’s efficient attachment system, and stacks of up to 6 chairs can be fixed to the walls using dedicated hooks.

Standard
ChairsChairs take the most stress on their back legs, where they bear the weight of the user's upper body. The engineer, architect and designer Jean Prouv incorporated this simple insight in his design for the Standard Chair: while steel tubing suffices for the front legs, since they are subject to less stress, the back legs are made of voluminous hollow sections that transfer the primary weight to the floor. Standard is available in the classic version with seat and backrest in wood or as the Standard SP model with seat and backrest in robust plastic. -
